China's air force has improved its overall combat capacity over the past year.

Last year, the air force set up an integrated modern tactic training center and three stimulated flight training centers. Meanwhile, dozens of air units conducted bombing drills aimed at ground-based and water-borne targets. A large number of regiments achieved good marks in gun and missile drills.

The air force will further improve its trainings in 2000.
