Sci-Tech China Plans to Join International Space Station Project

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, China is currently drawing up plans to participate in the international space station project.

Wang Shaoqi, the head of the Ministry of Science and Technology's international scientific cooperation division, said that the technology department is currently discussing increasing China's cooperation with Germany, the US, England, France, Canada, Japan and especially Russia.

Earlier this year, the Minister of Science and Technology, Lu Yongxiang announced that the Ministry would put the focus of international joint ventures on major international projects. The Ministry of Science and Technology would increase investments in international technological joint ventures and make sure that China would not pay less than 10% of the expenses to international joint ventures.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has already built joint laboratories with France, Germany and England.
