Business SW China Province Launches Development Projects

The government of southwest China's Sichuan Province has launched 38 key development projects involving a total investment of 250 billion yuan (about 30 billion U.S. dollars).

These projects encompass a variety of fields ranging from agriculture, infrastructure, and power to the raw materials industry, tourism, high-technology, and environmental protection,

said a local government official.

They especially feature the further development of western Sichuan, said the official, adding that this area is rich in natural resources and has considerable potential for investment and development.

The province will carry out a series of favorable policies to attract investors worldwide, he added.
