Sci-Tech Computer Associates to Open New Venture in China

Computer Associates (CA), the world's second largest computer software producer based in the United States, will soon open its fourth joint venture in China in Shanghai.

The new venture will be funded by CA and the Fudan Guanghua Company in Shanghai and will focus on the development of applied software mainly targeted to Chinese businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones.

With an annual revenue of 5.3 billion US dollars, CA -- founded in 1976 -- employs more than 14,000 people in 100 countries and regions around the world.

The Fudan Guanghua Company, jointly set up by Fudan University and several other local investors, deals with information technology.
