Sci-Tech China Establishes Township Information Network

The Chinese Town and Township Information Network, scheduled to be operational by 2002, will mainly be accessed from a Data Processing Center, an information station, and 2,500 two-way satellite working stations across China.

The network, developed by the Anhui Xingwei Scientific and Technological Institute, will provide information on a wide range of areas such as agriculture, management and education.
