Sci-Tech Portuguese Website on Macao's Return Available

Xinhua News Agency has posted a Portuguese language website covering events surrounding the upcoming return of Macao.

The site, http://www.xinhua.org/macao opened on December 17 to help make the event more accessible for Portuguese-speaking people.

Stories of Macao's general situation, including the politics, economics, culture, history and the Basic Law will be available. Up-to-the-minute reports of the return ceremony will be posted as activities occur.

Some Portuguese-speaking Xinhua reporters have been sent to Macao to write for the website. Two Portuguese-speaking editors in Beijing and the Mexico City branch of Xinhua will assist them. (Xinhua)
