Business Jiangxi Gets Large Investment from Taiwan This Year

East China's Jiangxi Province has to date attracted investments from Taiwan totaling 1.13 billion US dollars.

These funds are involved in 1,031 projects whose total investment has reached 1.7 billion US dollars.

The number of sectors using Taiwan investments has been expanded to more than 30, including machinery, electronics, medicine, and chemicals, local sources say.

At the same time, the number of large projects has been increasing, and statistics show that Jiangxi has now 20 Taiwan- funded projects with investments exceeding ten million US dollars each.

The provincial government has been encouraging Taiwan businesspeople to invest in the agricultural sector and participate in the reform of state-owned enterprises. (Xinhua)
