Business China to Kick Off Antidumping Investigation over Acrylate Esters

Chinese trade authorities will take action against alleged dumping cases concerning acrylate esters from Japan, the United States and Germany, according to sources of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC).

The sources said that the ministry will issue a bulletin Friday, which states that MOFTEC and the General Administration of Customs will immediately kick off antidumping investigation over these cases according to China's Antidumping and Countervailing Regulation.

The harmonized system code of acrylate esters is 29161200, including methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and 2- ethylhexyl acrylate.

At the same time, the State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC) and other relevant departments of the State Council will start to assess the extent of the damage to China's domestic industry by the importing of acrylate esters from the three countries, the sources noted.

Those parties concerned can respond to the action and get information on how to contest it from MOFTEC and SETC within 30 days, the sources said. (Xinhua)
