Culture Torch-Relay in Jiangsu Marks Macao's Return

A torch-relay began on December 9 in Lianyungang, a port city in east China's Jiangsu Province, to mark Macao's return to the motherland.

Four young people representing children, students, soldiers and workers in the province collected kindling for the torch on an island 64 km from the port.

The torch will be sent from city to city across the province from today through December 19, when a large torch will be lit to celebrate Macao's return to the motherland the next day, December 20.
