Sports '99 Zhangjiajie World Stunt Flying Contest Begins

The '99 World Stunt Flying Contest opened in Zhangjiajie of south China's Hunan Province on December 9. A Lithuanian athlete took the lead with a score of 93.27 for the time being.

Because this contest is the last match of this year's prix here, and the result will determine the final standing of the players, all the 15 competitors do their level best to show their unique skills. One or two flyers even made hedgehopping against regulations, frightening the spectators at the site. Any competitor who violates regulations will get reduced mark, according to a judge.

The final contest of this stunt flight prix will be held on the afternoon of December 10. Then, the champion of the prix will come into being based on the two days' scores.

Seen on the picture are Chinese parachutists performing in the contest.
