Sports Bayi Outstanding in CBA

Bayi Rockets routed Zhejiang Cyclone 123-79 at the fifth round Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday, keeping its unbeatable momentum.

The defending champion had to work hard in the first half to hold off the charge of the visiting side who tried to stay in game with effective breaks.

Leading 58-45 into the next half, Bayi began to show fully its killer instinct as they pulled away to lead the third quarter 96- 59 and settled the whole game in their favor.

Bayi stay atop the standings to become the only team which kept a clean record of 5-0 in the 12-team CBA league.

Guangdong Tigers had its clean record tainted as they lost 89- 82 away to Liaoning Hunters but they still placed second, one point adrift of the leading Bayi.

On the same day Jilin Northeast Tigers overwhelmed Beijing Ducks 101-87 at home court. Shanghai Sharks escaped with a home victory over Jiangsu Dragons 110-108. Shandong Bulls drubbed visiting Hubei Mei'erya 102-86. Vanguard Aoshen outclassed Nanjing Army 114-85 at home.
