China Wahid Accepts Golden Edition of "Confucian Analects"

Wahid said at the ceremony that the exchange of the cultures of Confucian and Islam could be dated back a long time ago. He expressed the belief that such exchange would be further promoted in the next century.

Tong Djoe, chairman of Council of Directors of ICA, expressed the conviction at the ceremony that President Wahid's present China visit would enhance Sino-Indonesian cooperation in various fields.

"Confucian Analects" is one of the most important works of Confucianism. The golden edition of the works has been permanently preserved by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
