Tuesday, November 23, 1999, updated at 09:15(GMT+8) Business Indo-Chinese Telecom Officials Discuss Cooperation High-ranking telecommunication officials of the three Indo-Chinese countries began their 6th Subregional Telecommunication Meeting in Hanoi on Monday to discuss ways to boost cooperation. During the three-day conference, participants will focus discussions on a legal and regulatory system for electronic commerce, the effective participation of developing countries in International Telecommunication Union (ITU) study group meetings, the costing and pricing of telecom services, and a spectrum valuation for developing countries, Vietnam news agency reported. The conference is expected to come up with a number of recommendations intended to develop the telecommunications industry in each country. Bilateral cooperation in the industry will be touched upon during the conference. Attending the meeting are Phao Bounnaphol, Lao Minister of Communications, Transport, Posts and Construction; Phan Phin, Secretary of State of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia; Mai Liem Truc, Director General of the Vietnam General Department of Post and Telecommunications; and Michael A.
