Culture International Music Festival Closed in Beijing

The month-long Second Beijing International Music Festival closed today, with a multi-media concert to mark the 20th anniversary of the first visit of famous American violinist Isaac Stern to China.

Tonight's audience was thrilled when 79-year-old Stern appeared on-stage at the Century Theater. As he did 20 years ago, Stern collaborated with famous Chinese conductor Li Delun, 82, to play Mozart composition.

Some 1,200 musicians from both China and abroad participated in the festival, which attracted nearly 100,000 listeners. (Xinhua)
