Pakistan's Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf left Islambad on November 7 for a visit to Qatar, Turkey and Kuwait.

This is Musharraf's second overseas tour since he assumed office on October 12. He visited Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates late last month.

The current visit manifests the importance Pakistan attaches to its fraternal relations with the three countries, said an announcement of the Foreign Office.

During his stay in Qatar, Musharraf will hold talks on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

Pakistan and Qatar have traditionally enjoyed close and fraternal relations based on shared religious, cultural and historical ties.

In Ankara, Musharraf will hold an in-depth discussion with President Suleyman Demiral and Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit.

During his stay in Kuwait, the chief executive will exchange views with the Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Musharraf is also expected to meet the members of the Pakistan community in these countries, said the announcement.
