Mongolian Prime Minister Rinchinnyamiin Amarjargal and his party on November 7 visited the port city of Tianjin, 120 kilometers to the southeast of Beijing.

The Mongolian guests this morning went to Tianjin port, the bonded zone, and the economic and technological development zone in the city.

Zhang Lichang, secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Li Shenglin, Tianjin Mayor, met with the Mongolian delegation at noon.

Zhang told the guests that the city has close economic ties with Mongolia, and Tianjin has also formed a sister-city relationship with Ulan Bator.

Li said that economic cooperation between Tianjin and Mongolia has seen rapid growth in recent years, and that the Mongolian prime minister's current visit will definitely boost the further growth of bilateral economic ties.

Amarjargal said that the Sino-Mongolian relations have grown rapidly in recent years and the leaders of the two countries have decided the direction of trans-century cooperative ties.

As a land-locked country, Mongolia attaches great importance to the construction of export-related facilities, he said, adding that his country is willing to create closer ties with Tianjin in the future.

Amarjargal and Li also met entrepreneurs from both countries and attended the signing ceremonies for an economic agreement between the companies in the afternoon.

There are nine Sino-Mongolian joint ventures in Tianjin.
