Education Pre-School Education Seminar Held in Shanghai

Some 1,000 teachers and child education experts are attending a seminar which opened in Shanghai on November 3 China's pre-school education system.

The participants will discuss ways to deepen the reform on China's pre-school education and explore methods for improving the country's education in the 21st century.

During the three-day seminar, those attending will recall China 's achievements in this area since the country began the reform and opening-up policy in the late 1970s.

They will also discuss the relationship between communities and family education, the management of pre-school education, and ways of improving the quality of teachers in kindergartens. The seminar is being held to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Pre-School Education Research Institute.
