BEIJING, July 5 -- Sweden's IKEA Group will recall from China 7,617 Patrull child safety gates with unreliable locking mechanisms, the country's consumer quality watchdog said on Tuesday.
The products to be recalled, which were made in Denmark, were produced between 1998 and 2016, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
The unreliability of the gates means they may allow small children to fall down stairs, said the watchdog.
The company did not specify the date of the recall.
