BEIJING, Jan. 14 -- China's anti-graft authorities will conduct inspections on all major state-owned enterprises (SOE) this year, said a communique issued after an important discipline inspection meeting in Beijing on Wednesday.

Inspection teams will be dispatched to all SOEs under the care of the central government, said the communique issued after the three-day fifth plenary session of the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) closed.

Inspectors will also step up the supervision on other SOEs, the document said.

Since 2013, the central authorities have dispatched inspectors to ministries, provincial governments, big SOEs and public institutions.

Six SOEs under the care of the central government have so far undergone inspections and, in the latest round, eight more have been under scrutiny.

The CCDI will also set up new branches in eight departments of the central government and CPC Central Committee, according to the communique.
