The 2014 China Green Companies Summit (CGCS) concluded last week in Nanjing, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The forum themed “An era of reform: reality and aspiration”, attracted more than 1000 business leaders, entrepreneurs and prominent figures from both China and aboard, to discuss new business opportunities under China’s reform.
China is undergoing deepening reform. The comprehensive reform has been set a new tone; and the market-driven economy in China is expected to play a more important role in years to come. But under the unfavorable global economic environment, declining domestic economic growth, and prolonged weak performance in economic restructuring, China’s economy is facing more severe challenges. But difficulties also bring opportunities; mobile Internet’s penetration, emerging forces and new business models are creating unprecedented opportunities in business world.
Combination of old and new models, innovative cooperation among enterprises, and integration among different fields are forming a new trend in the era of reform. Under this circumstance, Chinese entrepreneurs showed their worries and anxieties. During the China Green Companies Summit, they discussed the way to explore opportunities and how to run the business in this period of comprehensive reform. The topics included the next round of SOE restructuring, challenges and opportunities in banking industry, the challenges of smog prevention and control, the next 10 years of Sino-French cooperation and etc.
Founded in 2008, the China Green Companies Summit is dedicated to promote long-term and rational economic growth and strengthen commercial force.
