The British Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, and London Mayor Boris Johnson continue their separate visits in Beijing. Some analysts say the high-level visit will help improve China-UK relations.

In response, the spokeswomen for China’s Foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying says China is ready to work with Britain to push forward the healthy and steady development of China-UK relations.

"On China-UK relations, we believe that both are major influential countries. The sound and steady development of bilateral relations is not only in the interests of China and Britain, but also conducive to China-EU relations and to world peace and prosperity. On the basis of mutual respect and accommodating each other’s core interests and major concerns, China is ready to work with Britain to push forward healthy and stable development of the bilateral ties," said Hua.
