HANOI, Oct. 14 -- Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan met here on Monday Chairman of the China-Vietnam Friendship Association Qi Jianguo, who attended the fifth Vietnam- China People's Forum in the northern Ninh Binh Province from Oct. 11-13, according to state-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA).
At their talks, the Deputy PM spoke highly of contributions made by the Vietnam-China and China-Vietnam Friendship Associations in the past time, and expressed his hope that the two peoples will further exchange activities to boost mutual understanding and friendship for their common interest as well as regional and global peace, stability and prosperity, reported the VNA.
For his part, Chairman Qi Jianguo noted that bilateral ties and mutual trust have been reinforced, reflected through the meetings and an array of cooperation documents signed by their leaders.
Vietnam and China will bolster their multifaceted cooperation and exert efforts to seek measures to tackle sea disputes for waters of peace, friendship and cooperation as well as both countries' healthy and stable development, said the report quoting Qi as saying.
