VIENNA, Sept. 16 -- China on Monday reiterated that the nuclear issue in DPRK and Iran should be settled peacefully through dialogue and negotiation.
China made it clear in the statement issued to the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
"China has all along advocated denuclearization and peace and stability on Korean Peninsula," Ma Xingrui, Chairman of China Atomic Energy Authority, also the head of Chinese delegation to the IAEA General conference, said in his statement to the conference.
He also said DPRK's concern over security shall be addressed in settlement of nuclear issues.
In regard to Iranian nuclear issue, Ma Xingrui said the issue should be settled properly through dialogue under the framework of IAEA.
"The IAEA shall maintain its objective and fair position and play a constructive role in promoting the diplomatic settlement of relevant issues," he said.
China, one of the stake holders of the p5+1(China, Russia, Britain, U.S, France and Germany) talks and Six-Party Talks, always encouraged all sides to resolve the issue through diplomatic channel peacefully.
