TEHRAN, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Iran has rejected reports about an agreement between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on a new round of nuclear talks, Press TV reported Friday.
An official close to the Iranian nuclear negotiating team told Press TV that no agreement has been reached between Iran and the UN nuclear agency over the date of a new round of talks.
The issue had been discussed in a meeting but no deal was reached, the source said on condition of anonymity.
Quoting IAEA diplomats, Western media reported Thursday that Iran and the IAEA agreed to meet again in May.
On Feb. 13, Iran and the IAEA held their latest round of talks on Iran's disputed nuclear activities, but no agreement was reached.
