A fleet of the China Coast Guard (CCG) on Saturday patrolled territorial waters surrounding the Diaoyu Islands, according to the State Oceanic Administration (SOA).
The SOA said in a statement on its website that the vessels on duty are CCG 2350, 2102, 2146 and 1126.
The CCG, which merges the maritime law enforcement functions of four agencies responsible for fisheries administration, maritime surveillance, customs enforcement and border control, formally unveiled its board last month.
