ULAN BATOR, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Qiangba Puncog attended the inauguration ceremony of Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj Wednesday, hoping to strengthen high-profile exchanges and economic cooperation.

China believes that the China-Mongolia relationship would develop additional opportunities under the leadership of Xi and Elbegdorj in the new era, Qiangba Puncog, vice chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, said during a meeting with the president.

He transferred Xi's congratulation on Elbegdorj's re-election for a second four-year term as president, hoping to strengthen high-profile political exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, culture and multilateralism to further promote the China-Mongolia strategic partnership.
