Sharif's visit to China strengthens, broadens Sino-Pak relations: senator

ISLAMABAD, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani senator and the chairman of Pakistan-China Institute Mushahid Hussain Sayed on Tuesday termed the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's recent visit to China a successful one for it has strengthened and broadened of the strategic partnership between the two neighbors.

Sayed made the comments while talking to Pakistani and Chinese media and members of different think-tanks in Islamabad.

Sayed said it was a landmark achievement for both countries to establish a Ministerial Level Joint Cooperation Committee for fast track planning and execution of agreed projects and it also reflected a serious approach on both sides.

"Pakistan has wholeheartedly supported China without reservations on China's core interests including its border issues, seeing it's a peaceful rise as source of stability and strength for Asia and the region," said Sayed.
