Air China started a trial of onboard network transmission on its Beijing-Chengdu air route on July 3, 2013, which provided Wi-Fi service to passengers, allowing them to surf the Internet, write blog online, send email, and check stock market information. With the service, passengers can enjoy a more entertaining trip.

Air China is the first domestic carrier to offer in-flight Wi-Fi service, achieving ground-to-air telecommunication technique on its flights.
