WUHAN, March 31 (Xinhua) -- A driver was detained on Sunday in central China's Hubei Province after he drove his cement tank vehicle and rolled over a woman farmer dead in a land compensation dispute, local government said.

The suspect, Tan Fengbin, was detained by police early Sunday over intentional homicide charge, said Badong County's publicity authorities.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, 44-year-old farmer Zhang Ruqiong, was killed by a cement tank vehicle rollover as she was engaged in a land compensation dispute with an expressway construction project near her village.

Zhang was a farmer in Xibiantang Village, Badong. The provincial expressway under construction links Yichang and Badong in Hubei.
