Big Horse Lantern parade in Nanjing

A "horse troop" parade in Qiqiao village of Nanjing attracted villages' attention on March 24, 2013. Big Horse Lantern (Da Ma Deng) is a folk arts form which began in Tang dynasty and got popular in Qing and Ming dynasties. The horse troop consists of seven "horses", and two people dressed as one horse. Child actors dressed up as historical figures, wave flags and whip horses to trot as if they were in the battle.
