Two M-171 helicopters and four Z-9 armed helicopters carrying the army aviation echelon totaling 37 officers and men who participated in the China-Russia joint anti-terrorism military exercise codenamed "Peace Mission 2013" landed safely on the Hulunbuir Hailar Airport of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region at 14: 05 on August 25, 2013. So far, all the Chinese troops that took part in the joint exercise in Russia have returned home.
The China-Russia joint anti-terrorism military exercise codenamed "Peace Mission 2013" was held from July 27 to August 15 in Russia's Chelyabinsk. During the 20-day-long exercise, the Chinese and Russian troops conducted the joint drills in three stages successively, namely, force projection and deployment, campaign planning and campaign implementation, deepening the two militaries' pragmatic cooperation and improving their capability for joint operations.
