Chinese, Russian air forces celebrate Russian Air Force 101st founding anniversary

To celebrate the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Russian Federation Air Force, the officers and men of the Chinese and Russian air force battle groups participating in the China-Russia joint anti-terrorism military exercise codenamed "Peace Mission 2013" came to the World War II Victory Square in central Chelyabinsk to present wreaths to the eternal flame, on August 11, 2013.

Vadim, the political work responsible officer of the Chelyabinsk-based Advanced Navigation School of the Russian Air Force, chaired the celebration ceremony of the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Russian Federation Air Force. He announced the beginning of the ceremony at 10 o’clock on the morning, local time.

On behalf of the air force battle group of the Chinese side, Jin Lingui, group leader, presented flowers to the eternal flame towering in the World War II Victory Square.

Jin Lingui said that the officers and men of China and Russia always bear in mind the friendship forged by blood and sincerity, which is an important source of strength for the development of the relations between the two militaries.

The China-Russia joint military exercise is an important measure for the two militaries to promote friendship and pragmatic cooperation, Jin Linggui said.

He believed with the joint efforts of the Chinese and Russian participating soldiers, the "Peace Mission 2013" joint military exercise would be a great success, Jin Lingui told PLA Daily.
