BEIJING, Aug. 6 (ChinaMil) --Ma Xiaotian, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and commander of the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAAF), met yesterday with Erick Chimese, the visiting commander of the Zambian Air Force, in the Headquarters of the PLAAF.
Ma Xiaotian said that China and Zambia share profound traditional friendship and in recent years, the two countries have witnessed close high-level contacts, constantly enhanced mutual political trust and remarkable results from exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
The relations between Chinese and Zambian militaries have been developing healthily and smoothly, as evidenced by frequent high-level reciprocal visits, wide-ranging and multi-level friendly cooperation in such fields as personnel training and exchanges between military academies of the two countries, added Ma.
Ma Xiaotian told his guest that the PLAAF attaches importance to developing its relations with the Zambian Air Force, and hopes that the two sides will carry out extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation in many fields such as exchanges among academies and contacts among young and middle-aged officers.
Chimese said the Zambian side is willing to carry out exchanges and cooperation in various fields with China, the Zambian Air Force attaches great importance to developing its friendly relations with the PLAAF.
Chimese hoped the Chinese military including the PLAAF will, as always, support and assist the development of the Zambian armed forces including the Zambian Air Force, so as to constantly promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two air forces to a new high.
