PLA and local governments cooperate in pushing forward information construction of national defense mobilization

"National defense mobilization should go together with military construction. Mobilization support should be provided according to the direction of military construction." Li Guangju, deputy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) to the National People's Congress (NPC) and political commissar of the Hebei Provincial Military Command (PMC) of the PLA, said that the information construction of China's national defense mobilization is still in the initial stage of independent exploration and construction in various fields and in various regions, and lags behind the information construction of the country and its military on the whole. It can be said that low level of information has bottlenecked the enhancement of the national defense mobilization capacity.

Li Guangju suggested that local Party committees and governments at various levels and military organs should make joint efforts to focus closely on core missions, actively give full play to the advantage in resources, incorporate the information construction of national defense mobilization into the overall plan for economic and social development and provide policy support for military and civilian efforts to push forward the information construction of national defense mobilization.

Li Guangju also said that it is imperative to systematically improve the quality of information construction and unite task troop units, mobilization and coordination departments and local governments into an organic whole.
