BEIJING, Dec. 26 -- All of the 7,569 suggestions raised in March by deputies to China's top legislature have received replies, according to an official report.
The suggestions were put forward by deputies at the first annual session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), according to the report submitted Wednesday by the general office of the NPC Standing Committee at the committee's ongoing bi-monthly session.
Some 81 percent of the issues raised by deputies had either been resolved or are on the way toward resolution, marking an increase compared with the figure last year, according to the report.
It added that a majority of the NPC deputies were satisfied or basically satisfied with the handling of their suggestions.
The suggestions have been carefully dealt with by relevant departments and are conducive to promoting reform in various fields, the report added.
The suggestions are also helpful for officials to map out measures to promote social and economic development, as well as social equality and justice.
