Chen Zhenggao re-elected governor of Liaoning province

SHENYANG, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chen Zhenggao was re-elected governor of northeast China's Liaoning Province on Wednesday at the first session of the 12th provincial People's Congress, the local legislature.

Chen, born in 1952, is a native of Liaoning's city of Haicheng. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1972.

He was first elected governor of Liaoning in January 2008.

At the same session, Wang Min was re-elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress. Wang is also secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee.
