Today marks the beginning of Frost's Descent in China. It's the last solar term in autumn. The Descent signifies frost has started to fall, and winter is on its way.

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides a year into 24 solar terms. The Frost’s Descent is the 18th solar term.
It usually begins around October 23rd and ends around November 7th.
