Have you ever considered making a short film? If so, then making a short could be just for you. Short films are easier to make than their feature-length counterparts, primarily due to the low budget needed. This makes them a perfect start for future filmmakers such as college students.
The 2nd International College Student Short Film Festival, which closed last week in Beijing, received more than a thousand short film applications from universities around China. Students from the U.S., the UK, France, Russia and South Korea were also taking part.
After careful selection, a hundred of them entered the final round. These selected films will be presented to a wider audience.
The film festival also features a short film forum and a workshop.
Initiated in 2012, the International College Student Short Film Festival aims to discover talented filmmakers among college students in film studies and communications from all over the globe. It also plays a role in cultivating future filmmakers as they explore in the film industry.
Organizers hope that the event will encourage more and more student filmmakers to continue creating visionary projects.
