(Shanghai Daily)

09:58, July 10, 2013

The city's quality watchdog said yesterday that two sunglasses failed quality checks for label and filter problems. A batch of sunglasses labeled "wakeup" and produced by Huaguangming Optical Co in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and sold at Jiuguang Department Store, failed label tests, the Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau said. Another substandard product brand YH made by Xinchao Optical Co in Linhai City, Zhejiang Province, had filter problem. The bureau checked 39 batches of sunglasses. China has three filter ratings based on the amount of absorbed light.
