On June 11 2013, with three astronauts on board, China's Shenzhou-10 spacecraft blasted off from the launch pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu Province. Later, the spacecraft made two successful dockings with the demonstrator of the mission Tiangong-1 space lab module, one manual and one automatic.
On June 26, 2013, Shenzhou-10 returned to Earth safety after completing a 15-day space mission.
During the mission, a teacher aboard the space module Tiangong-1, about 340 km above her students on Earth, gave China's first ever space lecture. The interesting lecture inspired the dreams of its audience of children and helped to keep Shenzhou-10 and Tiangong-1 in the forefront of their minds. It will certainly have a profound influence on their future lives.
