Wang Anyi: taste the poetic life in buzzing times

Wang Anyi was born in 1954. After graduating from middle school, she went to work in Anhui in 1970, then enrolled in Jiangsu Xuzhou art troupe in 1972. She was transferred back to Shanghai in 1978 to serve as an editor at Children's Epoch. Wang Anyi became a professional writer of the Shanghai Writers Association, and has been hired as a professor of the Chinese Department of Fudan University since 2004.
