Ten years ago, Mamadou Sall chose to settle down in Yiwu, bellwether of China's commodities exports, shrugging off his 10-year life in the United States. Sall started his business from selling Chinese garments and clothing to African countries. In 2004, Sall's family moved to Yiwu and his wife Fatima immediately became a good helper in his company.
Ten years have passed and Sall has never regretted about his early decision to start his business in China. Shipments of his company, Sall-Industrial Co., Ltd, including garments, food, rubber, cotton and woodcarvings, now stand at more than 10 containers each month. Besides, with the growth of his business, Sall opened a subsidiary in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, and he specially invited seven of his family members from Africa to expand his business.
"I am quite confident about China's future and if possible, I will open my own factory in Yiwu, and I will also educate my sons and daughter to extend my career in China," said Sall.
