The Chinese National team is readying for the World Aquatic championships which is three days away. The most notable of the swimmers is Olympic Champion Sun Yang.
The Team gathered for the first time today in Beijing. During this year’s World Championships, Sun will participate in three individual competitions.
The Men’s 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyles. In addition, he will most likely also participate in the Men’s 4x200m freestyle relay.
Sun completed 16 days of closed training sessions in Hong Kong before arriving in the capital and is confident about how he is performing.
"Because I am in peak form, I should participate in more events. But due to various circumstances, I did not compete at one meet. In Hong Kong, my training consists of swimming in the morning and lifting weights in the afternoon," Sun Yang said.
