Myanmar U-19 football team to compete in China Weifang Cup 2013

YANGON, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar U-19 football team will compete in the "Weifang Cup 2013" International Youth Football Tournament to be held in Weifang, Shandong province of China, local daily reported Saturday.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 4, said the the 7-Day Daily. Weifang Cup organizers have confirmed that 12 teams both at home and abroad registered for the event.

At present, Myanmar U-19 team is competing in Myanmar National League-2 semi-professional tournament here.

The U-19 team which is trained by German coach has also planned to take part in 2013 ASEAN U-19 Championship held in Timor in September and 2014 AFC U-19 Championship held in Myanmar.
