Surrounded by mountains, Tangbu village in Xinchang county, Zhejiang Province, is home to more than 400 people. Almost all the 180 or so households here own parcels of land where they grow tea plants - the major source of income for the villagers.
Every year early April is regarded as the best time to pick and enjoy spring tea, mingqiancha (the tea before the Qingming Festival - April 4). So now is the busiest time of the year for the villagers.
