Iran's aluminum ingots production hits 308,473 tons in 11 months: report

TEHRAN, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Iran produced 308,473 tons of aluminum ingots in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, 2012, Press TV reported Sunday.

The country also produced 207,089 tons of alumina powder in the same period, according to the report.

In May 2012, Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Vajihollah Ja'fari said Iran's aluminum output would hit 1.5 million tons by the end of the country's 20-year Vision Plan, which runs until March 2025.
