Mamnoon Hussain elected as Pakistan's new president

Mamnoon Hussain has been elected as Pakistan's new president, announced the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday evening.

"Mamnoon Hussain has secured 432 votes whereas justice Wajihuddin (Ahmed) secures 77 votes, so Mr. Mamnoon has been elected as the 12th president of Pakistan," Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ibrahim told a press conference.
