BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations will recruit personnel in China as part of its Young Professionals Programme (YPP) later this year, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
Jobs in the fields of administration, finance, legal affairs, public information and statistics will be open to candidates under the age of 32, the ministry said in a Wednesday statement.
According to the statement, applications for posts in public information, legal affairs and statistics will be received until Aug. 2, while applications for administration and finance exams will open from July 8 to Sept. 5.
Written exams are planned to be held in Beijing on Dec. 3, the ministry said, adding that specific information can be found at https://careers.un.org.
Successful YPP candidates will be placed on a roster of qualified candidates who can be selected for available positions within the UN, said a notice on the website.
The YPP was set up in 2011 based on previous rounds of competitive national recruitment examinations, which have been held in China five times since 1995 and have led to nearly 100 out of 18,000 candidates being recruited.
