Chinese president to attend BFA annual conference

Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on April 24-25, and will make a keynote speech during the meeting.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan made the announcement Wednesday.

The BFA, which began in Boao, in China's southernmost Hainan island province in 2001, is a non-governmental and non-profit international organization.
