Chinese premier meets BFA participants

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with some of the participants to the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2003 Saturday.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with some of the participants to the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2003 Saturday.

They included Tajikistani President Emomali Sharipovich Rakhmonov, Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, Turkmenistani Deputy Prime Minister Yolly Gurbanmuradov, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan, Lao Deputy Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, and Kim Jin-pyo, deputy prime minister of the Republic of Korea.

Wen also met with members of the BFA Board of Directors and Advisory Council respectively.

He met with Tung Chee Hwa, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

The BFA Annual Conference 2003 will kick off Sunday morning, and Wen is expected to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.
